It depends on the test. Some tests (like cholesterol and glucose) require fasting for accurate results. We’ll advise you when you book. Generally, a 10-12 hour fast (water is fine) is recommended for comprehensive panels.
Most results are available within 2-5 working days. Some specialist tests (like the ALEX³ allergy panel) may take slightly longer. We’ll contact you as soon as results are ready.
Yes. Results include interpretation notes, and we offer a results consultation to discuss findings and recommendations. We don’t just hand you numbers — we help you understand what they mean for your health and treatment journey.
Absolutely. While our packages cover common combinations, we can arrange individual biomarkers if you have specific concerns. Just ask during booking or your consultation.
Allergy testing (ALEX³) measures IgE antibodies — these cause immediate allergic reactions. Food intolerance testing (FOX) measures IgG antibodies — these relate to delayed reactions like bloating, fatigue, or skin issues. They test for different things and many people benefit from both.
Private blood testing complements NHS care — it doesn’t replace it. If we identify concerning results, we’ll recommend you discuss them with your GP. We’re happy to provide results in a format you can share with your doctor.
